Oh how I love this gorgeous family!
Michaela found me back in early 2020…I hadn't even lived in Virginia for a year. I wasn't even actively advertising or taking on clients because my husband deployed in 2019. And by the time she discovered me, he had already been extended an additional three months because of the VID.
AnyHOO, I was a hot ball of nerves for her session in 2020 (they probably didn't know that lol!) because it was my real full 1 hour PAID session since leaving San Diego on top of all the craziness that had been going on. She even tipped me graciously and I was just so astounded—like here I was getting inside my head that my pricing restructure wasn't going to work for this new market I was in. As if I was basing my worth simply on the fact that I left an expensive San Diego and that I moved somewhere cheaper and so of course my pricing should be cheap. LIES, LIES, LIES. Your people will find you and they will never make you question your work or your worth. Thank you for that, Michaela <3

My editing has changed a little bit since then but that's only because the more time I spend in this craft, the more time I get to learn and adjust as I grow. Anyways…might have to come back to these for a re-edit. But really, how gorgeous are they!
So, fast forward to 2021 and that bump became this little man and goodness, the CUTEST one too! We had Kaiden's one year milestone on the beach along with a family session and it was the best. He got butt naked (don't worry, I'm keeping those off social media lol) and got to eat cake. He wasn't so sure about the cake though—mom had to encourage him a little bit. And he might have been more amused with all the things on the cake rather than eating it but all in all, it was a great time! I know mom will cherish these forever because we know the saying all too well, babies do not keep….
