This was the 2nd session of 2021 and honestly, another reason to believe that 2021 is full of hope and possibility.
Kenesha reached out to me in early December wanting to schedule a family session, a unique one, an open adoption story. She was traveling to Virginia from Colorado to be here for the arrival of her sweet baby girl, Willow, whom she was adopting. It was then that she decided last minute that she wanted to document this time between the families, between adoptive mother and birth mother. After meeting these two women, even for just a short time, I can tell that they are incredibly strong. These are photographs of strength, selflessness, love and above all else, family. Kenesha may have gained a new daughter but she also gained a new family and I was so honored to be able to document this time for them all.
